By choosing to ship with SureFire Cargo, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and transparent shipping process.
1. Agreement to Pay
By shipping with SureFire Cargo, you agree to pay the shipping costs calculated at the time of shipment. These costs may be based on actual weight or dimensional weight, depending on which is greater. Once a shipment is in transit, the charges are final, and the customer is obligated to pay the full amount.
2. Dimensional Weight vs. Actual Weight
Shipping charges are based on either the actual weight of the package or its dimensional weight—whichever is greater.
Actual Weight: The weight of the package as measured on a scale.
Dimensional Weight: A calculation used for bulky packages that takes into account the volume of the package.
It is calculated as: Dimensional Weight (lbs) = (Length x Width x Height) / Dimensional Factor (166 for air shipments)If the dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight, the shipping cost will be based on the dimensional weight.
For an in-depth explanation of dimensional weight, please refer to our video here or visit our FAQs page. You can also reach out to us directly for any additional clarification.
We recommend customers calculate and be aware of their package’s dimensional weight to avoid surprises in shipping costs. Adding a weight threshold can help manage expectations and ensure a smoother process.
3. Non-Payment
Failure to pay for a shipment in a timely manner may result in:
Delays in package release
Additional storage fees
Possible cancellation of future shipping services
Please note that after 30 days, any unpaid or unclaimed packages will be moved to the SureFire Shopping Gallery and put up for sale.
4. Final Destination
All shipments processed by SureFire Cargo are delivered to the final destination, St. Eustatius. Customers may not request to stop the delivery at intermediate points. Once the shipment has been processed, it will be delivered to St. Eustatius, and applicable customs duties and taxes will be applied.
5. Shipping Timelines
SureFire Cargo strives to process and ship packages as efficiently as possible. However, shipping timelines may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as delays with carriers, customs procedures, or weather conditions. Customers will be notified of any significant delays that may occur during the shipping process.
Please note that while we make every effort to expedite shipments, SureFire Cargo cannot guarantee delivery dates due to these variables. For urgent shipments, we recommend contacting us in advance to explore expedited options.
6. Taxes and Duties
Customers are responsible for paying any applicable customs duties, taxes, and fees that may be incurred once the package reaches St. Eustatius. These are separate from the shipping costs and must be paid to release the package.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided, such as the shipping address and contact details, is accurate. Any errors in the provided information may result in delays or additional fees.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding shipping costs or services must be addressed before the shipment is processed. You will receive an email notification as soon as your package is uploaded to your account, and at that time, all shipping details will be available for review. By agreeing to these terms, customers acknowledge that once the shipment is processed and in transit, they are responsible for all applicable fees. Disputes raised after the shipment is in transit will not be eligible for refunds or adjustments.
9. Updates to Terms
SureFire Cargo reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services after the update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
